A Traditional Custodian of the Gold Coast region, a Kombumerri man. As a saltwater man of the Gold Coast with cultural links to the Minjungbal and Wakka Wakka peoples, John is a strong Aboriginal leader. His stewardship, expertise and cultural knowledge is something he as shared with countless organisations, communities, and individuals. John has supported colleagues, researchers, students, and community members to achieve their fullest potential and we are very excited to have him open YTC2024.

Declan is a Client Partner for Travel at TikTok, working with major travel brands and tourism bodies in Australia to help them grow their business using TikTokDeclan has spent many years in the travel industry, most recently leading the consumer marketing team for Tourism New Zealand in both Australia and the Americas and is passionate about leveraging this experience to help travel brands be a part of the travel revolution happening on TikTok.
